As one who has followed weather all of my life, I have witness this northern jet stream drift myself. The once cold winter climate in my region has been replaced by a much more temperate winter climate, and many of the fierce winter storms now pass us by to the north with the receeding jet stream. Bad news for the upper Mid West as they get slammed by winter storms that used to travel further south and affect regions to their south and east. All in all, life is easier without the harsh winter weather, but I do fear what the future brings. Summers are likely to get much hotter and last longer. In 100 years some say New Jersey will have a climate more like present day Florida, and who knows what kind of Climate Florida will have? It could be pretty brutal.
