Dem control

I am not afraid of a Democratic President and Democratic Congress, because history (as opposed to Republican propaganda) shows that fearing the combination is not justified.

Clinton's 1993 tax increase, which were instrumental in bringing the deficit down to almost zero, were passed by a Democratic Congress. They would have had no chance if the Congress was Republican.

The long fall of national debt as a percent of GDP from 90% in 1950 to 35% in 1980 was achieved under almost continuous solid Democratic control of Congress and under both Republican and Democratic presidents. The reduction in the ratio was not any less when Democrats were in complete control.

The notion that solidly Democratic governments are fiscally irresponsible is a myth.

A McCain presidency will only thwart needed tax increases, prolong the Iraq war, and thus result in the continuation of Bush's fiscal irresponsibility. A president may not have all the power, but his veto power is enough to set the tone of where the country will go fiscally, as Reagan/Bush proved so convincingly.
