My streets here are full of couples who consist of grey-haired men with very young Filipino girls they brought back with them. Both know they bargain they have made. I've been to the Philippines 4 or 5 times and have seen, first hand, how the girls go ga-ga over Western guys. And the relationships are not all cynical bargains either. I could almost swear that the older and fatter and uglier the guy is, the more the girls look at him like he's a combo of Prince Charming and Superman. :) It's true that some of the girls are gold diggers and some of the guys are just dirty old men, but I'd put money on the majority of these relationships being genuine. Strange but true..
