Are the facts against the graph that shows the deficit was closing?

Absolutely. Please note the numbers of the deficit net gain or loss under each president. Here is the number from your chart for each president from Carter on; Carter 0,....Reagan -81 billion, GWB, -135, Clinton PLUS 526 billion and G.Bush - 632..

You support high tax and high spend. I support lower tax and lower spend. You want the government to control economic activity. I want people to control economic activity.

In the words of Reagan, "there you go again". I was a Ron Paul fan. I believe in much smaller government and fiscal conservative policies - BUT having said that and looking at your chart you can not argue to give republicans another chance. They are a fiscal train wreck in progress. I think you need to look at your chart again.
