"If you combine his views on guns with his Rev Wright position, Tony Rezko situation, muslim connections, Michelle's pride in America problem, inability to connect with small town blue collar America, and bowling ineptitude - it is obvious that he has major hurdles in the general elections. On top of all this, since he is so new on the national scene, who knows what else will emerge."

views on guns? what are those? he mentioned that people have been swayed by loud people to vote according to mistaken views about guns... ergo, if i don't like guns, i want to take them away. if i think should be checks done at gun shows (as are done in shops), i am against guns. that is mistaken. he dealt with the ways people have been manipulated re their votes and is trying to say "don't do it again". he has not said take guns away.

and bowling? that's funny. i won a trophy once bowling. can't bowl now because of a disability. but is bowling well mean you are real american? my nieces suck at it but play a lot. cause is fun. don't have to bowl over a 100 to prove anything.

blue collar? are you blue collar? you talk to blue collars? you really, anymore than most here, have any clue of blue collar? any more than the pundits who talk of 'them', the 'them' being the blue collars? you can come visit if you like. i will take you around to blue collar. and trailor trash. and all 'those' who the pundits and others say will turn on obama cause he not get them. do you get them? when is the last time your hands got dirty from your job?

I lived in a holler. wish i still did. but such is life. anyways... they all had guns. lots of them. and i hate guns. i will not be in the house with a gun. a shotgun? yes. that's diff to me. and they know it. and they are not allowed to visit my land with a gun. even a shotgun. it is my land, afterall. i will visit their house with a shotgun. if they have other guns, i will not visit. we meet outdoors. that is that. and somehow i have managed to be liked. i think obama can, as well. i moved to the country from the most dangerous neighborhood in an urban city. i don't want to be around guns and i won't be. respect goes both ways. you are wrong about what you tactfully call blue-collars. don't you really mean poor people? people who get their hands dirty? stupid ignorant people who only care about guns and a bowling score. ah, but that they could be so informed as the edicated. sorry... this is directed at many, but sounds rude to you. but i have been disgusted and am getting re-disgusted with the talk of them blue-collars who just won't get things and are so uninformed. caught in the cross-fire?

I also think that when someone circulates the rumor that America's elite supports Obama or that more educated people support him then others jump on that bandwagon.

They like to think of themselves in those terms and among that group.

We saw that phenom happen during the GOP rise when people wanted to consider themselves as affluent so they claimed to vote Republican. Maybe they were blue collar workers whose best interest was represented by the Dems, but they wanted to be associated with having more money so they registered and called themselves Republican.

Calling Obama an elitist is actually making it less desirable to be his supporter so it changes people's conception of themselves when associated with him.
