Actually, redneck? I was looking for the etymology and came across this: You might be a redneck if. . . * It never occurred to you to be offended by the phrase, "One nation, under God. . " * You've never protested about seeing the 10 Commandments posted in public places. * You still say "Christmas" instead of "The Holidays." * You bow your head when someone prays. * You stand and place your hand over your heart when they play the National Anthem. * You treat vets with great respect, and always have. * You've never burned an American flag. * You know what you believe and you aren't afraid to say so, no matter who is listening. * You respect your elders and expect your kids to do the same. * You'd give your last dollar to a friend. Tennessee has a lot of rednecks I hear tell, and it's not called the Volunteer State for nothing. They volunteer and fight and die for this country, hardly motivated by bitterness but because they hope to leave something better behind. What a great country we have full of wonderful people of all races and creeds, and they all have the right to ask questions and not be silenced by "racist," should they ask. And I hear that from Obama supporters, not from Republicans actually. That's all I got to say.
