I don't know how things have gotten so off track.

BTW though Andrew Sullivan describes himself as a disgruntled Conservative. He has however become so in love with Obama he has totally lost any objectivity. I think I can rightly point to a more organized right wing machine manufacturing BS/Red Herring arguments.

Still I think you get what you deserve when you vote depending on whether some wore a flag lapel pin or was a flip flopper.

The US is likely entering a time of great challenge in the immediate future with issues like the total and utter collapse of the currency a distinct possibility and some would argue an inevitability. There are some pretty smart people out there arguing that a deflationary depression is coming soon.

How long can a system where the world produces and the US consumes in exchange for paper likely continue? The world already has a hell of a lot of US paper or more accurately nowadays some bytes occupying space on a hard drive. Mountains of it. What happens to the value something there is too much of? Its definitely a viable issue but you'll never hear the Bill O'Rielly types talk about it.

Thats just one of the real challenges. I think everyday the candidates spend and the media spend discussing nonsense is truly "unpatriotic" because it's doing the country a disservice.
