I think you will hate me more after Obama is elected the POTUS. I am not sure how will respond to my posts then. What has Tehran to do. Is that a typo?

Bob,

You can believe these words

cnn.com

Business as usual. I believe Carter was sincere in his efforts. The only thing he has done is give some degree of legitimacy to Hamas in their own minds. Carter was able to broker a peace when both sides were willing to negotiate.

The administration insists they did not give Carter permission to take on this job. Carter says he never was told not to go.

So who is telling the truth. In my day we said, nothing ventured nothing gained. I think it is true today. That is the one thing that I like about Obama that he has expressed willingness to dialogue..

Bush on the other hand calls everyone axis of evil. If you will recall when you were a child if someone labeled you bad you just kept on being bad. Living out the prophecy. If on the other hand someone believed in you and your innate goodness you tried to live up to that image.

I prefer the latter. I think that amelioration is possible and it takes courage to reach out and negotiate. War for me is the last option.
