Bush has kept us safe. You ought to be grateful he prevented the 911 followup attacks. The deficits were declining till very recently - haven't seen real recent numbers so I'll hedge on what is happening now. No President can repeal supply and demand. However, if Congress agreed, we could cut gas taxes as McCain proposes for the summer. Lowering taxes has created higher revenues in the past.
