We each have our hierarchy of priorities. I don't see the spending and pre-emption insanity ending if Bush's policies are continued by McCain, so for me, a vote for McCain would be a vote for the status quo.

If McCain was determined to get us out of Iraq gracefully and restore some fiscal sanity while addressing healthcare and other economic needs out there, I could think long and hard about voting for him over Hillary.

But not with his current platform of more of the same.

The fact that it is so personal is probably why I fluctuate.

FWIW, I find this very clear. I'm interested in why you don't mention the differences between the political parties. I see them as situated rather differently. Do you?
