If the White House had a golf course they could have let Quayle run that, LOL.

Actually, I knew a military officer who served as a Quayle aide and said he was surprisingly sharp. And this was not a guy who would BS for political reasons. He's now an admiral.

But Quayle's political obscurity after his VP tenure says a lot about the man.

Gore? Was he given important input/role in the Clinton administration?

All I've ever heard was the snide remarks that Hillary got in the way.
