"they have more shortening in them" -- that's the kind of info that I'm looking for.

Last "Good Eats" program he mentioned a couple things that made the difference but went by so fast that I couldn't list them. I think he said using bread flour would help make them softer -- as well as using more dark brown sugar -- and something about the baking powder and eggs ???

But I'd like to make a list.
