How about a Tata?

I'd rather have the Prius. But a good pick up is even better.

What is a TATA..

I have a Prius and will buy another. I also have a Subaru...and it twice as much to fill the tank on it.

Yesterday at SAMS all the big vans, trucks and SVU's stayed at the pump for eight to ten minutes. I filled up in 4 minutes. The tank holds 11 gallons. I get 55.6 mpg..

I would buy another brand of hybrid but the Toyota is tried and true. It has been a great performing car for me.

>>The context was GW. Seems to me that buying a Prius to do one's part to counter GW is frivolous, narcissistic, and a bit too full of oneself.<<

Karen -

I don't see it that way at all. Each person can only do so much. If we do nothing because we can only do a little, then nothing at all gets done.

Since the Prius is also economical to drive, and pollutes less overall, which factors undoubtedly also carry weight in the decision to buy one, considering the admittedly tiny impact on GW seems perfectly reasonable to me.

When I'm driving down a highway and see a lot of litter by the side of the road, I don't consider that license to throw my trash out the window. My small effort doesn't clean up the highway, but at least I am not adding to the problem.
