"I absolutly agree with you that we need to decrease demand - for various reasons. BUT if you decrease the demand and increase the supply - we go right back to our addiction. The very same thing happened after the 70's oil shortage. You really want to go back and recycle through that again......and again ........and again?" Is the concept to complex for you? It is a multivariable solution. There are lots of ways to decrease demand while decreasing price. CAFE standards are the most obvious. Buying off old cars is another. Did you take economics anywhere in your education?
