BOSS POWER CORP. RESPONDS TO BC GOVERNMENT HALT ON URANIUM EXPLORATION AND DEVELOPMENT

Boss Power Corp. has received notice that the British Columbia government has imposed a ban on uranium exploration and development as announced in a government news release dated April 24, 2008. The B.C. Minister of State for Mining, Kevin Krueger, is quoted as saying that the B.C. government "... will also ensure that all uranium deposits will remain undeveloped. These changes support the B.C. energy plan commitment of no nuclear power."

Commenting on the announcement, Boss Power chief executive officer and president, David Stone, said, "We are obviously disappointed that the government has taken this position without any consultation with industry, and without any scientific evidence that modern uranium exploration is harmful to the environment."

Boss Power holds the rights to the Blizzard uranium deposit in the Greenwood mining division: one of the best undeveloped projects in Canada, and the most advanced uranium resource in B.C. The company recently submitted a notice of work to the Cranbrook Regional office of the MEMPR to obtain drilling permits for additional exploration at Blizzard. Environmental studies are already under way. The company is working with its advisers to assess the effect of the government's announcement, and to map out a plan moving forward. At this time the company has not decided what action it may take.
