My younger son's favorite opera is Wozzeck.

I bought that from the Columbia Record Club when I was in college. I think I must have thought it sophisticated and cool to own it. I sure never liked it. I don't think I ever played it all the way through.

Yes, I know what you mean. While my music appreciation class did get me to the point of appreciating Stravinsky, Prokofiev, and some Bartok, I never really did warm up to atonal music.

I don't care much for Phillip Glass, either.
