True, but without healthy disrespect, questioning, a bit of taunting, contrariness, tomfoolery, dissent, sarcasm, sticking out of the tongue, Bronx cheering and occassional pissing in boots, at which Mq is world-class, the joint gets boring. Zim of course didn't have a clue at where the line was. Mq has a terrific nose for it and never in my view has ever crossed it and, if so, so what, his good qualities by far exceed the rare lapse.

Without the lost causes and the recently demoted - moi, for example - the place goes into unquestioning lockstep orthodoxy.

I hope we don't lose him as he is invaluable. Of course, as a second class recently demoted citizen, my say counts for little. vbg

I am quite sure Elmat will come to his senses, realize that he had an uncharacteristic bad moment, as we all do, and relent. After all, his moderating is really quite good considering the ultra-diverse nature of this place.
