We've blown through the blooming of daffodils, hyacinths, tulips, cherries, plums, pears and apples, are now at redbud, azaleas and dogwoods, and one early shrub rose bloom (Mary Rose).

This was the most amazing spring for violets and now bluebells, because it's been so cool.

TEOTWAKWI or not, the flowers don't care, and the garden centers are jam-packed with gardeners flush with cash. Gardeners are always optimists, I think it must be a recession proof industry. Instead of a trip to Florence, we'll cultivate our flowers.
