>And only then did the Arabs decide it was so damned important.

We wouldn't suddenly decide that a similar-sized rather unoccupied portion of, say, Arizona, was so damned important if it were suddenly taken over by Mexicans?

It was certainly not anyone's "homeland" as we traditionally use the term. There was no organized government. There was no strong commitment to the region. The people who WERE there lived in untenable conditions.

You are wrong.....it was someone's homeland......the Arabs who lived in the region. True they did not have a separate country......they were prevented from having one first by the Ottoman Empire, then by Britain under the British Mandate, and now by the Israelis. And its true they were simple people....ranchers and farmers and shopkeepers in the small cities. Nonetheless, they had their own version of manifest destiny.......their own state.

Only after the Jews were given this territory to serve as their homeland, did it become a thriving region of the world. And only then did the Arabs decide it was so damned important

The Palestinians began fighting the Zionists starting not long after the turn of the century and after the first Zionists arrived from Europe....there was significant fighting all through the 1920s and 1930s. In your ignorance, you discount who the Palestinians are and what their goals were.

"More important, however, is the fact that the area called Palestine was dead. Useless. Only the Zionist movement made it anything. "

Completely WRONG Davey!

You just mindlessly repeat the Zionist history rewrite. A useful idiot for them.
