" Why pick just one, and pretend that its certain it is the decisive one?"

WHAT?

Cost is the most significant factor

I'm talking about the factors that result in lower costs. On a certain level cost would be the only factor, but saying "the cost is lower because the cost is lower" is a useless tautology. The issue is why the cost is lower.

You say it must be single payer (or some other form of universal coverage), because other countries have such systems and other countries have lower costs.

But other countries have many significant differences besides the health care insurance system.

There is no particular reason to think the health care insurance system in a country is the overwhelming reason for difference in costs ahead of all those other difference in the countries.

And also even in the health care insurance area, each country has its own unique system. Its not like there is type A and type B, and we have A, when everyone else has B. Each country has its own unique system.
