I agree that one could do worse than to eat Cheerios. And I sure don't like paying for anyone's cookies. I agree that your proposal is a good idea on balance, although, like most things, there are risks and downsides. One of the downsides is people thinking that, if the government pays for it, it must be good for you.

Right now, I'm off all grains. I'll fiddle with it for a while. One reason I'm trying it is to identify which foods trigger hunger. Starches are a likely suspect.
