Producing enough oil to sustain our needs would bring the price down, but only because the increase of oil on the market. The oil companies would still be selling on the open market. OPEC would then decrease production to attempt to keep the price high. It would still keep falling to a degree because many of the producing countries rely on the oil revenue as they have no other product.

Finding a more efficient way to separate hydrogen and oxygen from water would be the best trick, along with wind farms, solar and those generators that run on wave and tide currents.

We need to reduce the percentage of fuel consumption in our country. That will take many years to accomplish. It is telling even here on the threads how many people complain about consumption but do little to nothing to help. They do not get it...
