This is very interesting. NYS law does not allow cross ownership of grocery stores and liquor or wine stores. Stew Leonard got around this restriction by having a relative (sister-in-law?) open up a store on Long Island. I wonder if this is the same sort of arrangement. I am thrilled to see anyone named Wegman enter the wine business. If it's anything like the grocery store the prices won't be the cheapest, but the quality and selection will be great, and there will be plenty of wines that can legally be discussed on this thread.
