Every person I ever knew who routinely used marijuana moved on to more serious drugs. Today most all of them are miserable people suffering in piss poor jobs who missed their opportunity for a happy existence.

Then you knew a very unusual slice of people. Statistics and anecdotal evidence from many others easily prove that is not the norm.

I can think of any number of people from college who smoked who are now successful executives, editors, consultants, etc. Myself included.

It's actually kind of quaint to see people still define pot as an evil left phenomenon. It went beyond that about four decades ago.

Did you grow up in the ghetto? Are you a boy from the hood?

Seriously asked. I grew up in a nice middle class suburb. And people grew up to be pretty much what middle class kids grow up to be- whether they smoked pot or not.

My experience has been quite the opposite. Of the hundreds of people I know who smoke cannabis, only one went on to fry his brain, and although it sounds cruel, he didn't have far to go in the first place.

The others, many of whom continue to smoke in middle age, are city administrators, small business owners, college professors, IT professionals, et al. You would never know they indulged unless you knew.

They demonstrate the govt propaganda to be the big lie that it is.

I'm sorry, but any writer who states that stems and seeds are smoked is not entitled to comment on any facet of the practice.

BTW, have you ever smoked cannabis or are you just another unmarried marriage counselor?

Are you sure you're not confusing a viewing of Reefer Madness with reality?

Everyone I know who smoked went on to be exactly what they should have been. Doctors, lawyers, engineers, teachers, artists...
And none that I know of went on to harder drugs. Not ONE that I can think of, with the exception of maybe doing some LSD in the 60s. I bet a lot of people you know smoked and you just don't know it.
I would say that alcohol is a much bigger problem for adults.
