None of the people I know who use it have moved on to anything more serious- unless you consider really expensive chardonnay "more serious" :-)

I probably should have said most every person. My experiences in the 70's were quite varied and routine but I never touched anything besides alcohol after my teens.

My argument is not with the use but with the attitude. Somehow or another it being cool to smoke pot.

I would not equate the health effects of having a couple of glasses of wine a night with smoking a joint.

So did all of these successful routine users of marijuana or did they stop? If they stopped why? Or perhaps they saw the same groups of people degenerating with heavier use of pot, alcohol, hashish, cocaine, etc.

I dont think Hollywood or the media should be promoting the use of alcohol, cigarettes, pot, etc.
