I agree mercury is a huge problem. It is spreading around the world from coal fired plants and working is way into our enitre eco system which will be a huge problem for outr children. We see the levels rsing in fish. Lead is another big problem.

But to think we humans are mature enough to handle 100's fo nuclear plants and their waste, in a 100 countries when we only recently figured out segregation is wrong; and that most of the women in the world are still second class citizens shows that our thinking is not viable for controlling nuclear power. Women only control 1% of all the wealth on earth.

Controlling nuclear power plants and waste, and understanding racial and gender equality are not mutally exclusive. They represent the ability of the person to think!!!

We had segregation in the entire south until 1964 and then integration had to be forced down their throats at the point of a gun and using the national guard.

Not understanding civil rights truly shows the abiiity of a person to think in a sophisticated manner, or not. We as a species are simply not ready to mess with that type of danger. Same with nuclear proliferation.

That should be clear to anyone.
