No doubt the landscape has changed dramatically from even 3-4 years ago. Housing and the credit crisis we all talked about for years will be a side issue before too long.. I say look to bet against what is currently parabolic (euro, oil and long term treasuries) and play what is currently depressed..control hard assets bought dirt cheap with cheap financing from deflationary Mish and Roubini types.. S&P could be breaking out here at 1400 here..I think if JPM can clear $48 you must be long..All a long shot as I expect the next leg down very soon but there are a gazillion people already thinking the same way<g>..

"I see no hope for the U. S. dollar." Me neither....debts and deficits drive the dollar more than anything.

It makes you think....maybe the best and safest long term investment is....black gold. I don't see how a person can go wrong there. Maybe agriculture too?
