Max,

I read an article by a sports writer (can't remember where) who compared Jackson to be a potential guy like Devin Hester of the Bears. Any way you look at it this should be a huge upgrade to the return game. One of the biggest problems we had the last 2 years is we were always facing a long field; nobody respected Mahe. He was a good ball handler, but didn't have break away speed. Remember that disaster in the Green Bay game we should have won? That one game if won would have put us in the playoffs last year. I remember when we had Brian Mitchell years ago teams simply did not want to kick to him. We won a lot of games when we had a dangerous returner.

I agree with Domowitch that Buckhalter has the most to worry about here. He and Moats would have to have an incredible camp and preseason to stay. Buckhalter is getting a few years on him and I'm sure the durability issues are still a major concern. Hunt had a tough year on the bench, but blocking skills can be taught. He's only been in the system 1 year and I still believe he can be the big bulldozer he was a Penn State; unless he has a miserable camp/preseason I believe the Eagles give him one more year to develop.

Bottom line I believe Reid understands this is probably McNabbs last year as an Eagle and his last chance to run the table. If everybody stays healthy I think we have a chance. One key player gets injured and we don't have a chance imo. This will be an interesting year to watch play out.
