you seem to equate the equal opportunity to be a debt serf as true freedom and genuine equality

strange

if i were a woman, i would want to be a wife in freedom hk, where hubby works to provide, and i educate my kids and shop and do lunch with my pals on weekly scheduled basis, and in the event of separation, half of all, plus plus plus

yeup, cultural superiority, you cannot beat it ;0/

<<You might not know that I have a Chinese stepmother>>

... advice, watch out!

<<with a lot of Chinese female friends, many of whom ... are looking for the opportunity!>>

... by your sense, the arabic sheiks must be really good husbands given the number of women who want to marry them, yes?

<<You might not know that I have a Chinese stepmother, with a lot of Chinese female friends, many of whom have married American men and many of the rest are looking for the opportunity!>>

Exactly you make my point, it is well known internationally American men have more money than sense or to use your terms are "generous" and that marrying one has little downside given our divorce laws. If it doesn't work out she gets half his assets and a right to work and live in a country with a much higher standard of living, whats not to like?

<<It's weird, considering how many Chinese families selectively aborted female fetuses, why do you even pretend that women are considered equal to men in China? The numbers don't lie.>>

Me pretend? You are the one pretending. Pretending that I said something I did not. Where did I say that?
I can see why TJ takes pleasure in taunting you, you are blinded by your biases and make things up.

<<No red-blooded American woman with a backbone would put up with that. Once these women realize they don't have to, either, well, my door is always open>>
<<See, what I do, I set prisoners free. It's not the only thing I do, but it's the thing I like the best.>>

Most American women don't put up with anything, forget the extreme examples you have dragged up, I am talking about basics, cooking cleaning, keeping a house hold. The first tiff
and they run to someone like you to "set them free". Which is why we have the highest divorce rates in the world and the most attorneys.

It is quite acceptable and common for American women to count the first marriage as an apprenticeship they are brainwashed into a hollywood fantasy that a prince is going to make their every wish come true and make them happy. Which is impossible of course and so the first disagreement and the husband becomes disposable along with everything else in our society. We have no right to lecture the Asians on marriage, women's rights, equality or anything else, except maybe how to cook a hamburger. We had the freest, most affluent society in the world and we blew it (hopefully not beyond repair)we lost our way. Gloria Steinem and the like made women "just like men"
which is great if you are gay.

Asian women don't want to be equal to a man they like being women. We could learn much from Asians and other cultures if we would get off our conceited high horse and observe.
