well-said. It is the law that makes women like to marry with American men and later on file for divorce to make profits for the women. Marriage in US is a big business for the attorney. Same is in divorce and custody battles.

Asian women don't want to be equal to a man they like being women. ROFLMAO. Women are equal to men as human beings, in every way that matters. If you don't see that, well, too bad for you, at your age it's highly unlikely you're going to see the light. If you think it's a woman's "place" to clean and cook but also work full time and contribute financially to the household, yet be told that they don't have equal rights, this is exactly the mentality I am describing. I have every right to tell women living in bad situations that they don't have to live like that, they aren't just servants. If they have a job and can support themselves, what is the up side to serving an autocratic patriarch? He can take care of himself, his arms aren't broken. Exactly you make my point, it is well known internationally American men have more money than sense or to use your terms are "generous" and that marrying one has little downside given our divorce laws. If it doesn't work out she gets half his assets and a right to work and live in a country with a much higher standard of living, whats not to like? Agreed. However, if you think that a husband spending money on his wife (or vice versa) shows a lack of sense, I hope you rethink that position. One reason, I would suggest the main reason, that the West is rich is because we have unlocked the potential of our women, the earning potential, the creative potential, the educational potential. As countries do that, they become richer, but the "price" to pay is to free yourself from the mental blinders that women aren't really equal. You benefit from their labor, their creativity, their intelligence, but you don't see it.

Riskmgmt: Well said. I am silently watching the debate about family, culture and civilization, but got to jump in now to give my 2Cs worth. All this - Comes from a person who makes living out of dismembering families and bankruptcy. - Comes from a person who lives in a country with the highest divorce rate. - Comes from a person living in a society with the highest number lawyers (most of them are nothing but leeches on society; of course there a few good lawyers). - Comes from a person from a society with close to 1 in every 100 person in jail. - Comes from a person where mortgaging children and their children's future in debt enslavement is called freedom. - Comes from a person who lives around the mother of all welfare alley called Washington. So much for family value and family. -J6P ;-
