That's the most fun for both the editors and the bashers on the other side who want an extremist straw man to play against.

Another staple in our modern American circus. Jump on a ridiculous anecdote and whoop it up good; much more emotionally satisfying than those tedious balanced arguments.

Perhaps too broad a statement. I rephrase it to say that the collective effort of environmentalists is going to cause significant pain to our economy and the collective effort is not pragmatic.

Specifically this unreasoned response to GW, the denial of nuclear and coal plants, and placing all hope on renewables. And quite clearly ethanol.

I consider myself a pragmatic environmentally conscious person.
