"Americans love junk food politics more than real issues."

For president americans choose someone to lead, not necessarily to legislate any particular agenda. Wright is scary to many americans, not because he is black but because he is perceived to be anti-american. This rubs off on obama, not because he is black, but because he has wimped out and whined on this issue. Time for Obama to speak out. Its unfortunate that his sister soljah moment comes with another black nut but thats the way it goes.

The really sad thing is that that idiot egocentric Wright will keep playing for the cameras as long as they stay on him, despite the damage it does to Obama.

Well, the thing that gets me is why is Wright such a big issue for Americans?

It is a big issue because it gets to the truth on where Obama stands. It gives us a glimpse of who the man behind the facade is -- something you cannot get if you take his political speeches literally.

It is the same reason we kick the tires on used cars, even though the slick talking salesman is telling is all is great. We really don't know anything about where the car has been, what it has done, until we cut through the crap the salesman is selling.

Wright lets us know that Obama isn't quite so pure as he would have us believe. He DOES have a background with racism, terrorism, and anti-Americanism that is worthy of reconsideration. You wouldn't know it from listening to Obama, but Wright gives us a unique glimpse at the true Obama.

Well, the thing that gets me is why is Wright such a big issue for Americans? Aren't they more interested in his Energy Independence plan or his plan to get out of Iraq? This is a joke. Americans love junk food politics more than real issues.

You know, I was thinking that the 'Good Rev Wright' news cycle is getting a little long in the tooth. Maybe the Obama folks are smart to just shut up and let it play out... I think people are getting sick of hearing about it. And when people get sick of hearing about it two things happen 1) They tune it out and 2) the media quits printing/talking about it.

Assuming Obama gets the nom, by the time the Reps bring it up it will probably be "Yawn, old news; next".

He's the convenient excuse for those whities who can't vote for a black mean for president because he's black.

mindmeld,

I would have to say that Obama's Iraq exit strategy and his energy plan are probably more troublesome than Rev Wright.
