Wright is not Obama. Wright gives you insight into Wright. Very McCarthy-like guilt by association of you Dave! Actually, the more I see of Wright on TV, the more I LIKE the guy! He's smart as a whip and has a fantastic sense of humor. He's got a lot of bitterness, as you'd expect from a black man of his age in America. He's a wonderful American.

All of us have come into contact with people we don't agree with. I have an ultra-liberal neighbor from California that really can make me angry sometimes. Does that mean I am an ultr-liberal? I think our naive attempts to paint a candidate with the tarnish of the people they know, without using critical analysis to see if the shoe fits, simply deprives us of the best candidates. I've seen it done on the Republican side as well, which is how we got Bush Jr.
