I thought some of what he said recently was odd- but he could just be really off balance from being attacked so viciously.

The Wright I saw in the first half of the Moyers interview was fine. Much of the positions taken were not mine but I understand them and the reasoning behind them. I understand Roland Martins of CNN gave that performance an A. As someone whose graded more than he cares, I would have given it a B+.

The Sunday night NAACP talk was closer to a B- or C+. Entertaining, yes, couldn't take your eyes off the guy; drama helps one make their points and he did that remarkably well. But his difference is not deficient theme was badly argued and not terribly well supported by research. And, finally, in a society in which cultures overlap, don't simply bump up against one another but wrestle around with one another, it's not sufficient to talk about great divides between the cultures of racial groups.

And, finally, the Monday morning bit was worse. And the Q&A was a catastrophe.

If you want to get elected president and someone close to you does that, you have to do something. And when that person attacks you, as Wright do to Obama, he really had no choice.

My views. How does the phrase go? The management can't be held accountable.

Syb -

What about Oral Roberts and his "if we don't raise 10 million dollars by X date, God will call me home" pitch? That was just looney, at best. A bizarre way to blackmail his own followers.
