"Yeah, we used to send in the Peace Corp and now we send in the Marine Corps." We somehow expect them to be a combination Marine Corps/Peace Corps too. Not what they signed up for, or even humanly possible.

Yeah, we used to send in the Peace Corp and now we send in the Marine Corps. The country didn't change so much as the world around us changed. You liberals would like to ignore the problem, but the reality is that we have an enemy today that poses a threat just as the Cold War did. And we have liberals who deny the existence of the threat just as we did during the Cold War. And eventually, unfortunately, we'll have another attack here, bigger than 9/11, that proves you were all wrong. It will be unfortunate and it will cause a great deal of sadness and misery, and a few short years later the Left will have forgotten it, too. You guys have very short memories when it comes to our enemies.

David Ray always came off nasty but how much nastier he sounds now after 8 years of Bush and realizing how screwed up they are. I can remember back in 2002-3 thinking they can't be that messed up and in fact, they turned out to be much, much worse. The latest: they are not even maintaining the military barracks. The American public has been snookered badly and a lot of slimy neos have been made rich off the US Treasury. That's why I am hoping we take them to court after the election.
