It also disconnects in the event of a power failure, so it goes down with it.

So if you are saying 80% of production, does this mean 170 watts X .80 136 watt performance out of the panels?

I'm trying to figure out how much juice I can produce in Indiana. Its one of the worst spots in the US, to be sure. So if the juice would be .80 X 170 = 136 at peak, one would then have to calculate the average sunlight exposure or find a source online to figure out how much sun I would be expected to get on average throughout the year.
