and he's the guy for me

cb ilane, that is the ONLY metric of a good husband. At least the only one that counts, if I can borrow a phrase.

You may enjoy the warmth of wrapping yourself in tautologies, but it is hardly the mark of a fully developed intellect.

Try this on for size.

If a Thing can be a good Widget and a bad Widget simultaneously, even though it isn't even a Widget, then the wisdom of asserting that some Things are "better" Widgets than others is so dubious as to have no merit.

However, when a Thing is or is not a Widget by objective criteria, and, having been a Widget it has been found and judged to be a bad Widget, then it is not unreasonable to assert that it is, indeed, a bad Widget. Similarly for good Widgets.

Furthermore, when there are a countable number of Things which have been Widgets, and which have been measured, as Widgets can only be measured, to be good or bad, then one can count the number of Things that are good Widgets and count the number of Things that are bad Widgets and thereby determine absolutely whether the total population of Widgets are, in aggregate, "better" or "worse" than any other similarly assessed population of Widgets.

I suspect you (or at least our thread mates) are intelligent enough to make appropriate substitutions for "Thing" and "Widget", but in case not, try parsing first using "plants" and "food" respectively, and then "man" and "husband".

stay on your topic

stop shimmying

western culture is what got us into the mess we are in

teotwawki dawn soon will be, a guess, because eastern cultures have survived the hard times due to resilience and inner strength, and reversing towards the mean, and a very high mean by your measures

take my word for it, you will like what is coming our collective way, better than you like the mattel toys, baxter drugs, and eastern loans
