I have a friend that has been called a racist because she doesn't support Obama. She was also told, by the same Obama supporter that called her a racist, that this world will be a better place after all the baby boomers are dead.

I have been accused of racism because I dare to bring up the issue of race.

Other Hillary supporters have been banned from leftish threads on SI for making fun of Michelle Obama's clothing. Yet,other posters that call Hillary the "c" word have been championed on that same SI thread.

I think that the very fact that > 95% of blacks are voting for Obama make his candidacy an issue of race.

Obama supporters are all on the high road by anyone's gauge.

Dale,

<<I don't recall Hillary supporters being called delusional and worse for holding their views about Obama.>>

I have seen someone advocating on this board any Dem who supports HC should quit or be run out of the Dem party(I don't remember which). Maybe HC supporters haven't been called delusional on this board but they have been called just about everything else in case you haven't noticed. Maybe this is part of the reason why so many HC supporters have said they won't vote for Obama come November.

Just take a look at what you say here

<<I don't care if people bash Obama day and night. That is politics. Our criticisms have been leveled at Hillary and Bill and what we think about their conduct, and at the campaign climate that turned 2008 into another Rovian wet dream of bashing and smearing.>>

If there is something someone doesn't like about Obama, you call it bashing making it sound like it isn't legitimate. But when you talk about something you don't like about HC, you call it criticism and make it sound like you are doing patriotic work to save the country from the republican/rovian plague.

<<Let's stick to the pols themselves and leave the "They must be nuts to support Obama, don't they know anything? God, they are so naive and mean," nonsense aside.>>

That is excellent advice for all sides, especially if we want a dem in the white house next year.
