<<<A short piece from tomorrow morning's NYTimes on the Obama-Wright relationship. There will be more. Definitely.>>>

The good news, imo, for Obama supporters is that David Axelrod has managed a terrific campaign so far. He will likely be able to bury the Rev Wright story just as Karl Rove was able to bury the DUI convictions and the National Guard story. If Axelrod can do that, then Obama will win the nomination in a squeaker.

The bad news, my guess, is that republicans will be desperate come November, they will literally be fighting for survival and they will pull out all stops.

If Mr. Obama wins the Democratic nomination, Republicans have signaled, unambiguously, that they intend to resurrect his pastor’s most provocative comments.

It will be Rev Wright sound bites 24/7 until election night. I doubt anyone can rise above the inevitable mud slinging.
