One of the main ways of being diligent is to pay particular attention to the pursuit of knowledge. The world is undergoing an enormous transformation today. Even in the communist ruled countries, knowledge is considered important. Previously, during the Cultural Revolution, it was as if knowledge had lost all respect and value. But today, in the case of China, the situation is nothing like in the 1960s.

in what way does china nowadays like 1960s ???
i think he travels to the west too often, but doesn't tour in china to see modernization of the country. First, he better give up the idea of having Tibet as a nation, so he can negotiate with the central government. Second, he needs to tell his followers to give up violence. Third, he needs to understand the good & the bad of capitalism. I actually find Tibet a good place to live as compared to some modernized industrial cities. He better not allow cars and airplanes to pollute the environment.
