Al, But this quote is a caricature that deserves to be ridiculed, because, by this quote's pipedream condition, there is no way to maintain a presence there without americans being killed or maimed. Yeah, we can argue that point, whether it is possible (and desirable) to have presence without casualties. It is different from saying that "mcsame wants to spend there with boots on the ground and coffins coming back every month", which McCain specifically said he does not want. Joe
