Democrats usually do a better job of governing

I used to think that, too. (I used to think it was because the Ds brought in more academics.) I recall as a civil servant looking forward to changes to a D administration in the places where I worked. I recall telling people that they would be better. But events proved me wrong and I stopped making that claim.
