My guess is the Fed finds some way to guarantee the CFC paper so BAC can't lose like the BSC/JPM deal and we get stuck with bill.

I think the Fed wants to force this marriage, but so much time has gone by now that perhaps everyone now is hedged or at least prepared for it.

Same thing with Ambac.
