My post was no t focussed on lyrics as much as it was with music styles. I do agree that a melodious style of music, the Michigan U. marching band for example has rhythm and beat but it is not no pronounce in a rap style of music.

It's easier to find examples of rhythm without melody than of melody without rhythm, but I could probably find examples of both types of music in my music collection. I would also say that it's possible to create music that has neither one, but that's a tough trick, and it wouldn't sound like music to everyone. - Allen
