The dippy movie producers of today are just that....dippy! The old days were entertainment, and War of the Worlds was one of them! I too really liked that one....

I remember FINALLY getting to be 12, when you had to pay 50cents to get into the movie....so when the guy said "child?" I said right smartly..."No sir, I was just 12 a couple of days ago..... so now I get to pay 50cents"

My parents probably gave up on me then....but then again, they had trained me to tell the truth....<smiles>!

KIDS....weren't we funny?

I just loved that movie. That and The Day the Earth Stood Still. I couldn't wait for Twilight Zone and Outer Limits. I read a little magazine called Fact of Fiction that Mom subscribed to and couldn't wait for the next addition to come in the mail. I was an avid reader when I was a kid, and loved that genre'. I liked the scary movies too, but didn't go out of my way to see them because of the nightmares. -gg-
