"I see that Peak Oil actually occurred back in 1990,"

Are you deaf, dumb, or blind? Production was...

'79...62.67 MBPD
'90...60.49
and finally in '96, 63.70.
So was '79 the peak, and not '90? Don't act so dumb.

Why did world consumption rise to '79, and start falling in '80, and didn't return again til '96? Carter was good for the world economy, while Reagan and GHWB so negatively impacted the world economy that it took Clinton 4 years to get the world straightened out enuf to boost the worldwide economy to pre-Neocon prosperity.

"Has it not occurred to you that, as with the economic crunch then, with petrol at $3 a gallon and crude oil at $120 a barrel, a lot of people are running for cover, cutting back on what they would like to buy, selling their SUV or simply scrapping it, buying little cars, walking, turning off the heaters, and coolers, flying less [other than Al Gore who is busy saving the world], and wearing woolies?"

Has it not occurred to you that 2.5 billion Chinese and Indians don't know WTF woolies are, and aren't gonna run for cover until they buy SUVs in the first place?

Why is it that every time you get your numbers wrong, several people recommend your post? Are they as numerically handicapped as you, or is stupidity a contagious NZ disease?
