Do your cars have legitimate license plates that refer back to your current home address? Any chance the cops might follow you home, show you the video of your attempt to evade arrest at 100mph then throw you in jail?

My guess is the odds of that are pretty good. They won't be amused.

OK. So let me see if I understasnd you correctly.

(a) Boogerville cops are incompetent and retrograde. They never heard of 'radio' and have none in their cars. Even if they did, they are so clumsy, they can't possibly drive and operate the radio at the same time.

(b) Boggerville is totally isolated. Commonly local cops won't have equipment like spike strips or helicopters, but the state highway patrol WILL. However, since the Highway Patrol can't get to Boogerville, no roads from outside coming into it, and even if that were not the case, the Boogerville cops can't call in this newfangled equipment.

(c) As Baker noted, you probably have fake plates on that gomobile of yours. Even if not, the Boogerville cops, because of lack of that newfangled invention 'radio', can't tap the state license plate database to find out that gomobile is yours and the owner.

I knew Misery was pretty primitive, but I didn't think it was THAT bad!

Did I get this right? :-)
