Our discussions, ML, involve the one car/two car question. My wife still works and I'm working at home and around town in various civic stuff. Fortunately, she has successfully moved her course to online teaching and does her rather heavy administrative work through e-mail. Meetings become confirmations of e-mail discussions.

So there is usually only one day a week I'm carless. At most two.

But it's not without it's pain. I'm very much a car person. Just loved to get out on the long, flat roads west of town when I was growing up and take my father's cars to the limit.

Now I'm mature. ;-(

Then on trips I do have a little problem as those big trucks pass me on the highway and I am like an ant...

And therein lies a big part of the problem with getting people away from their gas guzzlers.
