I learned how to drive in a 1970 Buick Wildcat with a 455 cubic inch V8 that would get up and go. That was a lot of fun at 16.

1970 Buick Wildcat

The last year for the Buick Wildcat! The '70 wildcat's went out with an all new 455 cid V8, rated at 370 hp and a pavement pounding 510 lb-ft of torque. This new 455 engine had a 10:1 compression ratio, a cast iron block, hydraulic lifters, five main bearings, and a four barrel carburetor.

Interesting to compare my current ride with a 3-liter V6, 215hp, about 2/3 the weight of the Wildcat. I'm pretty sure it would leave the Wildcat in the dust on a long straight but I wasn't brave enough to test speeds like that in my Daddy's car, LOL.
