It will be harder for folks to play up black and white if you have a president who is, in effect, both.

You could make this argument for nearly every African American in the United States.

It would be if the subject politics were more universally acceptable.

I don't think Obama's life experiences are what we are looking for. Condoleeza Rice, Colin Powell, yes. Obama no.
